Women coming up in a man worlds...

For centuries women have been raised with the understanding that they are here to get married and make babies for the men; I've said it before, it is a mans world. However, the last century has seen the fastest and most profound changes in women's suffrage; a change that was so fast, that the assimilation process is still lagging way behind. Marriages were once arranged by parents, in fact, arranged marriages were still around in the 20th century. The United States and Canada were probably the first countries to introduce the idea of marriage for love, and yet we still don't completely understand what that means...we want to be taken care of, but we also want to be independent and free of the need for men...then desire raises its head...it's all so convoluted.
